
Staff
ECWA Hospital, Egbe currently has 68 regular staff with 27 unskilled workers, who include medical, administrative, and maintenance staff of the hospital. Staff of the ECWA Schools of Nursing and Midwifery maintain a total staff of 31. The goal of our staff is to provide excellent service while demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ to co-workers and patients. Here is an introduction to some of the staff members.
Dr. Laura Smelter assumed the role of Acting Medical Director in March 2012. Prior to joining ECWA Hospital Egbe she served as Associate Director of Joseph Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program and formerly as Family Physician with Middlebury Family Physicians.
Dr. Kenechi Nedosa is from Anambra State. He studied medicine at the University of Jos and joined the hospital in September 2007 for his residency training in Family Medicine. He is currently the Chief Resident of the Hospital.
Dr. Jonah Adukwu is from Ejule in Kogi State. He studied medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He joined the hospital in August 2007 as a Resident in the Department of Family Medicine. He is currently a Senior Resident in the Residency Program.
Dr. Living Mark Josiah joined the Hospital April 2012 serving his one year National Youth Service Corps as a Medical Doctor. He received his medical training in Abia State University in 2010. Dr. Josiah hails from Azikoro in Bayelsa State.
Mrs. Janet Memudu is currently the Director of Nursing Services. A long term staff member, she joined the hospital in 1975. She received her training at ECWA School of Midwifery, Egbe and her nursing training at Adewole School of Nursing Ilorin Teaching Hospital. Mrs. Memudu hails from Koro in Kwara State.
Mr. Paul Abolaji is the Hospital Secretary/Senior Admin Officer. Originally from Egbe, Mr. Abolaji received his training in Secretarial studies and Public Administration at Kogi State Polytechnic. He joined the hospital in April 1992.
Mr. Sunday Bolakale Jimoh, former Auditor of Igbaja Theological Seminary, assumed the position of Accountant in June 2010. Mr. Jimoh received his training in Accountancy at Kwara State Polytechnic.
Mr. Sunday Jerome Daramola, Assistant Chief Internal Auditor, joined the hospital in 2002. He studied Accountancy at the University of Ado Ekiti for his Bachelor and Masters of Business Administration. A certified member of ANAN , he is originally from Etan in Kwara State.
Rev. Emmanuel Aiyebulu joined the hospital in 2006. He is the hospital Chaplain/Minister-in-charge of ECWA Chapel of Blessing, Egbe. He was trained in ECWA Theological Seminary, Igbaja and United Missionary Church of Africa Theological College Ilorin for his BTh and MTh respectively. He hails from Ogbe in Kogi State.
Mr. Samuel Olugbenga Adeyemi, is the Head of the Laboratory Department. He was trained in Science Laboratory at the Kwara State Polytechnic. Originally from Egbe, he joined the hospital in March 1996.
Miss Esther Fuset Kura is a Pharmacist serving her one year National Youth Service Corps at this hospital, as the Acting Head of Pharmacy Department. She received her Bachelor degree in Pharmacy in Ahmadu Bello university Zaria Kaduna State in 2010. She hails from Sarbon Sarki Kaduna Stat;e. She joined the hospital January 2012.
Mr. Jonathan Irojah is from Egbe in Kogi State. He attended Methodist High School, Eruku, Kogi State in 1987. He received vocational training in Plumbing Works in 1990 having good experience in his field of occupation. He joined the hospital in January 2008 as the Maintenance Supervisor.

ECWA School of Nursing, Egbe
Elder Akande Levi Olutunu, formerly Vice Principal has been appointed Principal of ECWA School of Nursing, Egbe. He joined the school of nursing in September 1993, having completed training in general nursing, psychiatric nursing and a degree in Health Education at the University of Ado Ekiti. Mr. Akande is originally from Mopa, Kwara State.
Mr. Benjamin Edih joined ECWA service in 1st July 1993. He was seconded to ECWA School of Nursing on 15th April 2002 as a Nurse Tutor. He qualified as a Registered Nurse in addition to a Bachelor degree in Nursing Science from Nigeria University Nsukka. He is currently an Assistant Chief Nurse Tutor/Vice Principal of ECWA School of Nursing, Egbe. Mr. Edih is from Bassa-nge in Kogi State.
ECWA School of Midwifery, Egbe
Mrs. Mary Aje is from Ogori in Kogi State. She studied nursing/midwifery at nursing schools ABU Zaria/Ilorin and Health Education at the University of Ado Ekiti. Mrs. Aje joined ECWA School of Midwifery, Egbe in June 1983 as the Vice Principal. She is currently the Principal of the School.
Mrs. Racheal Owolola joined the ECWA School of Midwifery in January 2006 and is currently a midwife tutor and Vice principal of the School. Originally from Irepodun LGA in Kwara State, Mrs. Owolola studied nursing/midwifery at nursing schools ABU Zaria/Ilorin.
