Most importantly, the Gospel was shared with 8,355 people and benevolent funds were provided to over 100 people unable to pay the full cost of their medical care.
In 2019 the hospital plans to take affordable, quality, primary health care to underprivileged communities around Egbe with an Outreach/Mobile Clinic team – responding to the need.
The Egbe Hospital Revitalization efforts continues with the revitalization of the ECWA School of Nursing and School of Midwifery. This next phase will equip nurses and midwives to serve throughout Nigeria and other parts of Africa where the need for skilled nurses is paramount to saving lives.
In 2019, a major focus will also be on recruiting missionaries and Nigerians for key positions. We’re looking for a chief operating officer (aka hospital administrator), maintenance/construction manager, general surgeon, family physician, nurse educators, dentist, and IT specialist. We sure would appreciate your prayers to help us find these key people.
Together we are making tremendous progress! Thank you for your support in this faith venture. It’s going to be another exciting year ahead!
