Egbe Hospital recently celebrated the one-year anniverary of implementing an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, signaling a significaant leap in using technology to positively impact lives in rural Nigeria.
The leadership team summed it up nicely in a letter to staff: “This last year has seen incredible devotion and hard work as we embraced the challenges and opportunities that this dramatic transition brought. The shift to an EMR system is a major undertaking, and our commitment to improving patient care and optimizing clinical operations is truly admirable.
The benefits of an EMR system in terms of accuracy, speed, stored information and patient safety are evident, and you’ve all played a vital role in ensuring the success of this transition. Let this one-year anniversary serve as a reminder of the tremendous progress we’ve made together.”
Your donations have provided staff with the tools to improve efficiences, monitor service delivery, and tailor services to meet the specific needs of the region. Physicians can now acsess x-rays and messages while they are on the wards, nurses can update patient files, and there is more accountability in billing. Thank you for helping to make this possible!
We are looking forward to sharing more staff innovations in 2024 as they share the love of Christ and create a center of medical and educational excellence through healthcare, training, mentoring, and technology.
Advancing together one step at a time.
Starlink connections have been a “game-changer” and technology greatly improves sustainablity.

The EMR system replaces thousands of paper files and patient charts.

Staff use ipads and computers located throughout the departments to chart a patient’s progress.
