ECWA Hospital Egbe offers affordable physiotherapy and rehabilitative services to restore mobility, function, and well-being. The Physiotherapy Department is located close to the hospital’s main entrance for easy access to outpatients. Inpatient services are provided at the bedside and in the physiotherapy unit.

Physiotherapy services include:

• Treatment of orthopaedic conditions such as ligament strains, sprains or tears; inflammation of tendons
• Fracture rehabilitation
• Treatment of arthritis, osteoporosis, scoliosis; soft tissue injury
• Rehabilitation following surgery to the hip, shoulder, knee, foot
• Paediatric physiotherapy for developmental, neurological or musculoskeletal difficulties
• Stroke recovery; cast placement

Physiotherapy Treatment is tailored to each person and can include:

• Ultrasound
• Heat and cold modalities
• TENS machine and electrical stimulation
• Massage or joint mobilization techniques
• Strength and stretching exercises
• Supportive taping and strapping
• Use of physio equipment
