Environmental Health Officer
Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Support Services the Environmental Health Officer will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing health and hygiene legislations within the Hospital.
Responsibilities Include
- Supervise the Hospital Attendants to carry out their daily routine functions
- Advise the Hospital on matters of environmental health
- Deliver training to the Hospital Attendants to improve their environmental health skills
- Advise the Manager Clinical Support Services on issues of potential safety hazards
- Organize routine sanitation checks across the Hospital
- Assist in the running of the Hospital autoclave
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Environmental Health
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving to incorporate new and effective ways to achieve better results.
- Ability to work diligently under pressure.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Experience
- Proven experience of at least 2 years as an Environmental Health Officer
- An attitude of serving.
- A desire to teach and train others.
- Proficient computer skills and proven working knowledge of email, Word, Excel, Power Point; working knowledge of office equipment.
