Patients needing to see a physician are welcome to enter the hospital through the Outpatient Department located at the front of the hospital. Upon arrival, patients are encouraged to register at the Records Office located in the Outpatient Waiting area. Patients will be called by a nurse for initial assessment and placement in one of the 7 patient examining rooms for examination by a Consultant Physician, Resident Physician or medical staff.

Saturdays 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM; Call duty 12:00 PM – Monday 7:30 AM

Emergency and Intensive Care

24 hour emergency and intensive care is offered in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit, with immediate attention to arriving emergencies.

The hospital offers six main wards for medical and surgical patients. The wards offer comfortable beds with privacy curtains and shared washrooms. Nurses provide around the clock nursing care.

A wonderful resource for families, the Under’5’s Clinic offers antenatal, postnatal, maternal, child health care, immunization and family planning. Clinic days are as follows:

Tuberculosis/DOTs Treatment and Isolation Centre

ECWA Hospital Egbe is a referral/antiretroviral treatment site for tuberculosis activities across all age groups; providing testing, detecting, recording, treatment, and reporting of TB activities carried out to the joint USAID/WHO TB-HIV/AIDs through Kogi State Ministry of Health.

Services available Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pharmaceutical Services

Conveniently located adjacent to the out-patient department, the pharmacy offers well stocked, competitively priced drugs for inpatient care and outpatient prescriptions. Strict controls are in place to ensure patients receive quality medication.
